I am passionate about where I am from and what I do.  I live and breathe Northern Spain.  I love sharing my homeland with others and have done so for over 20 years.  Each and every one of my tours is unique and focuses on your interests.  Do you seek a rewarding and memorable experience that is at the same time reasonable (a great value)?  My goal is to exceed your expectations and deliver a unique travel experience that you simply can´t reproduce on your own.  After all, that´s why you hire me.  I encourage you to read a few of my testimonials, don´t take my word for it.

I am a Spaniard, born in Santander, Cantabria at the heart of Northern Spain.  I am also an American, a native speaker of English and spend part of my year in the US.  I am a graduate of the University of Texas at Austin. I have a background in finance, education and entrepreneurship. I bridge cultural gaps for my clients like no one else can, bringing you much closer to authentic Northern Spain.  I live and understand life here, but provide a much broader cultural context to help you understand it like a local.

I am a seasoned traveler and know what makes for exceptional experiences.  I seek them when I travel.  In my personal experience, local knowledge goes a long way in taking more away from a destination, rather than just gleaning it from a guidebook (most of which are more than likely written by someone not from the area).  I have spent a lifetime exploring Northern Spain for you, not just a month long assignment to write a piece on it.

Overloaded with trying to plan your own trip?  The internet has a lot of information, too much at times.  Traveler driven rating websites, such as TripAdvisor, while somewhat helpful for some things such as hotels, tend to miss the mark on many points.  Unfortunately, other travelers lack in depth local knowledge, do not have the best insight on the most interesting sites (versus the most popular or easy to get to), an understanding of regional nuances in food or of the best kept local secrets.  Local knowledge of an area goes well beyond what non-locals comment about on travel websites.  Northern Spain has many hidden gems that are missed by most travelers.  Getting to them on your own is highly unlikely.

Northern Spain is home. I am a proud Cantabrian, but also a proud Texan.  I personally enjoy every single one of the tour possibilities I offer, which makes my job quite fulfilling.  I have been a piper in my local bagpipe band.  I have walked across Northern Spain on the Camino de Santiago pilgrimage trail (several times, and cycled it as well).

I am a traveler like you.  I have traveled around much of the world:  wildlife safaris in Tanzania, mountain climbs in Russia, carnaval celebrations in Brasil, erupting volcanoes in Hawaii, motorcycling through India, road tripping across Armenia, being humbled in Ethiopia, riding a camel into the Sahara desert of Morocco and many more wonderful experiences.
